1. About these Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and MB Muzė LT (“we”, “us”, “our”), company code 306876836, Chemijos g. 27C-62, LT-51332 Kaunas, Lithuania. They govern your use of the Maze AI app for iOS (the “App”).
By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, your licence to use it is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple EULA”). These Terms add to the Apple EULA. If the two conflict, the Apple EULA applies to the licence to use the App, and these Terms apply to everything else.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
2. Who can use Maze AI
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you’re under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
3. The App
Maze AI is a text-based role-playing game in which AI models write the story based on your choices.
- No account. You don’t need an account to use the App.
- Internet connection. Story generation and other AI features need an internet connection.
- Your saved games. Games are stored only on your device. We don’t keep a copy, so we can’t restore games if you delete the App, lose your device or reset it.
4. AI-generated content
The stories, images and other content in the App are generated automatically by third-party AI models. We don’t review this content before you see it.
- It is fiction. It may be inaccurate, inconsistent, unexpected or unsuitable. It isn’t advice of any kind: not medical, legal, financial or safety advice.
- Your decisions about how to use it are your own.
- Stories may include fantasy violence, horror and other mature themes suitable for players aged 13 and over.
- If the AI produces something inappropriate, please report it to info@muze.lt.
5. Content rules
Sexually explicit content isn’t permitted in Maze AI. Don’t try to steer the AI towards it.
You also must not use the App to:
- create, request or share any sexual content involving minors. We’ll report this to the authorities;
- create content that is illegal, or that promotes violence, terrorism or self-harm in the real world;
- harass, threaten or promote hatred against any person or group;
- create sexual, defamatory or harmful content about real people;
- enter other people’s personal information;
- bypass, disable or test the App’s safeguards, for example with prompts designed to make the AI ignore its rules;
- use bots, scripts or automated access, scrape the App, or interfere with our servers;
- copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the App, except where the law allows it;
- misuse purchases, rewards or promotions.
These rules also apply to anything you post on the in-app feature board.
6. Your content and AI output
- Your inputs. You keep all rights you have in the text you type into the App.
- AI output. We don’t claim ownership of the stories generated for you. You may use them for any lawful purpose, including sharing them. Be aware that AI-generated content may not be protected by copyright, and the AI may produce similar content for other players.
- What you allow us to do. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process your inputs and the AI output, only as needed to run the App. For example, we send them to AI providers to generate the next turn, and we investigate errors. This is described in our Privacy Policy. We don’t use your stories to train AI models.
- Feedback. Posts on the feature board are visible to other players. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
7. Subscriptions and purchases
The App is free to download. An optional auto-renewable subscription unlocks additional features.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country.
- Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings: open the Settings app, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. Deleting the App doesn’t cancel your subscription.
- Refunds. Apple handles all payments, refunds and the EU right of withdrawal under its own terms. We can’t issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- What we can see. We can see whether you have an active subscription, through our provider RevenueCat, but we never see your payment details.
- Restoring purchases. If you reinstall the App or use a new device signed in to the same Apple ID, use “Restore Purchases” to get your subscription back.
8. Ads and cross-promotion
If you don’t have a subscription:
- you can choose to watch rewarded video ads to receive in-game rewards;
- you may see banners promoting other apps.
In-game rewards have no monetary value, can’t be exchanged or transferred, and may change.
Ads and promoted apps are provided by third parties. We aren’t responsible for their content or for any products they offer.
9. Our rights in the App
The App belongs to MB Muzė LT or our licensors. That includes its code, design, artwork, scenarios, text and names. Third-party components, such as open-source software and game icons, are used under their own licences. Icon credits are listed in the Credits section of the App’s Settings.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the Apple EULA.
10. Availability and changes to the App
We work to keep the App running well, but the AI features depend on third-party services and on your internet connection. They may sometimes be slow or unavailable.
We may update, change or remove features, for example when AI models change. This doesn’t affect your legal rights as a consumer, including your right to digital content that works as described.
11. Restricting access
You don’t have an account, so we can’t suspend one. If you break these Terms, we may limit or block access to the App’s online features, such as AI generation and rewards, for the installation or identifiers involved. Where we need to prevent abuse, we may do this without notice.
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it. If you have a subscription, remember to cancel it as well (section 7).
12. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer. That includes your rights under EU law to digital content that conforms to the contract.
13. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud;
- damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence;
- any other liability that can’t be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for:
- losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable;
- loss of saved games stored on your device;
- losses caused by your breach of these Terms;
- losses caused by events or third-party services outside our reasonable control.
14. Apple
- These Terms are between you and MB Muzė LT, not Apple. Apple isn’t responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims relating to the App, including:
- product liability claims;
- claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements;
- consumer protection or similar claims;
- claims that the App infringes someone’s intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you aren’t located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and that you aren’t on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- When using the App, you must follow any applicable third-party terms.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the App or the law changes. We’ll publish the new version here and change the “Last updated” date.
For significant changes, where possible, we’ll also let you know in the App before they take effect. If you keep using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, stop using the App and cancel any subscription.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.
If you’re a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of that country. You can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at info@muze.lt, and we’ll try to resolve it. If we can’t, you can contact:
- the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Valstybinė vartotojų teisių apsaugos tarnyba, vvtat.lt); or
- the consumer dispute body in your country.
17. General
- If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another business, for example if the App is sold. This won’t reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms.
