1. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal data such as names, emails, or payment details. However, we temporarily process and store the following types of data:
- Audio Data: Audio files are stored only for the duration of transcription.
- Transcription Data: Transcribed text is stored temporarily until the user retrieves it to their local device.
- Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics data (e.g., app usage, crash reports) using third-party tools.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
- To provide transcription services (local and cloud-based).
- To improve app functionality and user experience.
- To analyze performance and troubleshoot app issues.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Local vs. Cloud-Based Transcription
Local Transcription:
- When users choose local transcription, all processing is done directly on the device.
- No audio or transcription data leaves the device.
- We do not have access to this data at any point.
Cloud-Based Transcription:
- If users choose cloud-based transcription, audio files are temporarily uploaded to our servers for processing.
- These files are deleted once the transcription is completed and retrieved by the user.
- Users have full control over whether to use local or cloud-based transcription.
4. Data Storage & Deletion
- Audio files for cloud transcription are stored only during processing and deleted once completed.
- Transcription text is stored until the user retrieves it to their local device, after which it is deleted.
- We perform irregular data cleanup to ensure no unnecessary user data is retained.
- Users can request manual verification and deletion of any cached data by contacting us via the in-app Contact Us form.
5. Cloud Synchronization (Apple iCloud)
- Users can enable iCloud synchronization to store and access transcriptions across their Apple devices.
- Apple iCloud encryption ensures this data is securely stored and synchronized.
- We do not have access to or control over data stored in iCloud.
- Data stored in iCloud is managed according to Apple’s privacy policies.

6. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to support our infrastructure and app functionality:
- Analytics & Crash Reporting:

These services may process usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
7. Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures, including:

- Data Minimization: Storing data only as long as necessary.
We take all reasonable precautions to protect user data but cannot guarantee absolute security due to the nature of internet-based services.

- Transcription Mode Selection: Users can choose between local or cloud-based transcription.
- Data Deletion Requests: Users can request data deletion via the in-app Contact Us form.
- No Permanent Data Storage: We do not retain user data beyond its necessary processing duration.
9. Children’s Privacy
V2T is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or store data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Users will be notified of significant changes through an in-app notification or update to this document.
